I hope you are all having a great time with family and friends. Here's a little Christmas Cryptic for the December break, should you find the need to sit down with a cuppa for half-an-hour or so. Seeing as it's the time for gift-giving, there's a fair number of gimmes in this crossword to move things along. I've set the difficulty rating at a festive and friendly 3/5.
And a reminder ... the Sunday slot is still open for anyone who wants to post his or her own, original crossword. Just contact me and I will help you with the mechanics of compiling and posting.

Hi Bill,
sorry I am only getting around to commenting now, school is out due to adverse weather here, so a bit of catching up going on.
I attempted this on the flight back from France last week and had it all bar one, IN TOTO, until I looked at it and saw it straight away, brilliant NT OT in ten.
Delighted with my tantara I double checked only to find I had RELEIF instead of HEREOF.
Aw well it is the closest I have ever gone, so I am chuffed.
Thanks for the fun, time to get back to my own creations again.
Tommy
Hi Tommy,
So, school's out eh? Maybe I my recent choice of Crosaire Aria was an omen!
Thanks for checking out the puzzle, and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it. I'm kind of chuffed that you were working my Santa's reindeer puzzle up in the air, it's kind of apt!
Sorry about the missed tomtara, but I am delighted you came close.
I look forward to your next offering over at Tommy's Place.
